Emotional Intelligence Half-Day Workshop

Monday, October 29, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm

What is emotional intelligence and why should you care about it?  Emotional intelligence is a set of skills that you can use that help you understand and manage your emotions effectively, build more satisfying and productive relationships at work and home, manage your stress and make excellent decisions.  Because there is no correlation between IQ and Emotional Intelligence, there are many very bright people who lack key emotional intelligence skills or don’t know how to best leverage the EI skills they do have. Emotional intelligence is a better predictor of work success than IQ when professionals within the same career are compared for effectiveness.  So, while your IQ has given you the ability to be accepted to and perform well in your graduate studies, it will be your EI that will distinguish you from colleagues working in the same field.  As part of this workshop you will complete the EQi 2.0 assessment and receive a 20-page report about your EI.  The workshop will be interactive and focused on helping you identify areas of EI strength and areas of development and how you can develop your EI skills.

Please REGISTER by Monday, October 8th.

After registration is closed, you will receive a link to the assessment tool.  You will receive your personalized report when you arrive for the workshop on October 29th.  Lunch will be provided for you that day from 12-12:30 pm; workshop will begin promptly at 12:30 pm.

**Please note that this workshop is being offered for free to our graduate students.  In addition to the facilitator’s fee, there is a $60 cost per assessment.  We ask that if you do register for the workshop, you are fully committed to completing the assessment and attending the ENTIRE workshop due to this significant investment.  If your plans should change, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so someone from the waitlist may take your seat.**
