CGSF: Navigating the Invisible First-Gen Grad Student Identity

Are you the first in your family to pursue a graduate degree?  How do you navigate the academy?  Do others feel the same way as me?  What does it look like to succeed as a first-generation graduate student?  Join us for a diverse panel of faculty, staff, and students as they share their personal narratives as first-generation graduate students.  Come prepared to engage with the panel in meaningful discussion.  Lunch will be served immediately following the panel for continued conversation.  Co-sponsored by the Carolina Grad Student F1RSTS (Diversity & Student Success in The Graduate School) and the School of Social Work.
