IME: Sisterhood of Empowerment in Academe (SEA): Sisterhood Circle

Sisterhood of Empowerment in Academe (SEA), or the Sisterhood, is meant to be a place for women of color to come together, share their lived experiences, and support one another throughout our journey in the academy. Sister circles are not new; they have been used in other contexts for black women to work through the ins and outs of their daily lives. We will continue that rich tradition here, to provide affirmation, validation, and support as we all work through this arduous journey called graduate school.
