As a first-gen graduate/professional student, it is important to equip yourself for success. Some tools that have proven to be useful are the Relax, Relate, Release protocol. Relax: You belong here – Overcoming Fear – The Imposter Syndrome Relate: Network, Socialize, and be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Release: Inner power, intuition, perseverance This interactive seminar will allow you to not only learn about these tools but also practice strategies with one another. QGAPS Queer Movie Night: Brother Outsider January 26th, 5:00 pm - 7:15 pm Did you know that the "unknown hero of the Civil Rights Movement" was a gay, Black man? We will be watching Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin. The 20-award-winning documentary showcases "a mentor to MLK Jr., and the architect of the legendary March on Washington.
