WE-RISE: Racial Trauma, Management, and Self-Care

This workshop will focus on identifying racial trauma, understanding its effects on mental health and well-being, and exploring ways to heal. Tailored to the graduate student experience, this workshop will also give attendees the opportunity to participate in discussion related to these topics and learn from each other.

Ayauna Sumpter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and part of the Multicultural Health Program. Her professional interests include working with the LGBTQIA+ community, depression, anxiety, attachment, and relationship concerns, as well as highlighting the importance of a body-mind approach.

Sophia Davis is a clinical social worker and therapist in the CAPS Multicultural health program. She is passionate about serving marginalized students around their mental health needs.
